The Tansky deposit field with total area of 6.1 ha is located in Uman rayon of Cherkasy oblast, 2 km north-east of Tanske village and 1 km south of Kosenivka village.
Granites within the deposit field are characterised by homogeneity of structure, texture and colour.
Production capacity of the granite quarry is up to 1500 sqm per year.
The closest railway station of Potash is located 16 km north of the deposit, and the rayon administrative centre of Uman and Uman railway station are situated 21 km west of the deposit.
Town of Uman is on the Kyiv-Odesa highway.
GENERAL IDENTIFICATION CHARACTERISTICS:
The Tansky granite is grey, unevenly grained with the size of rock-forming mineral individuals of 0.5 to 25 mm. The texture pattern is massive and formed by coarse grains of grey feldspars with indistinct boundary lines contrasting with the background of a darker groundmass composed of small and medium-grained light-grey calcium feldspars, grey quartz and small inclusions of mica and mafic minerals.
